The Fiery Furnaces are one of the those bands that I saw for the first time and then got totally hooked on. Talulah and I caught them opening for The Kills at Mercury Lounge last spring. Eleanor hopped around like a bird. Matt scowled. The other day, the came up in conversation with a friend that dismissed them during the lo-fi, duo with dubious relationship frenzy and is now returning for another listen. Check them out. Seeing Matt behave badly is half the fun of seeing them live.

Ever feel like you need a hug from someone special or er, a roomful of complete stranger? If your answer is yes, you just might want to attend a cuddle party. Not really a touchy, feely type, the idea freaks me out but you might like it.

I, too, like the Fiery Furnaces. I am kind of wondering if they maybe put on a better show than their record lets on...
And I like duo bands with complicated relationships. It keeps things fresh.
